Arts and Me With over 30 years of experience as a teacher, I’m also a passionate crafter who enjoys exploring crochet, knitting, drawing, and painting across a range of media. I’m constantly inspired by my Aunty Val and Mum, and I love sharing creative writing and craft ideas—especially those that involve repurposing materials in inventive ways. As an art teacher, I’m committed to lifelong learning. I study the techniques and stories of the Great Masters while staying current with contemporary art and emerging ideas. I find great joy in developing new skills and encouraging my students to do the same. After guiding them through the fundamentals of color and design, I support their freedom to make creative choices and express their unique style.
My goal is to nurture artistic skills as a lifelong source of calm, joy, and personal expression. Lately, I’ve become especially passionate about using art as a powerful tool for easing anxiety and promoting peace of mind.
